The holidays are in full swing and 2020 is just around the corner! Are you looking for a fun way to kick off the new year? Teach your children about how the government works and show your support for digital public education by joining us for Digital Learning Day at the Capitol on Friday, March 6th!

Every winter, digital public school families travel to the State Capitol in Olympia to express their support for digital public education. Digital Learning Day is a great opportunity meet other digital public school families and talk to legislators about this important education option. Students will have the opportunity to participate in educational activities and visit their state legislators in the Capitol Building.

Here’s the agenda:
10:00am - Registration in the Columbia Room in the State Capitol Building
10:30am - Welcome
10:35am - Talking to Your Legislator
10:45am - Fun and Interactive Educational Activity for Students
11:30am - Pizza Lunch!
12:00pm - Rally, Awards Ceremony and Group Photo on the Steps of the Rotunda
12:30pm - Meetings with State Legislators
1:30pm - Educational Activities in the Capitol Building (optional)
I encourage you to schedule meetings with your legislators ahead of time. You can meet them any time after 12:30pm. Find out who represents you in Olympia and then call and schedule a meeting. If you have never met a legislator, we will walk you through how it’s done. They love to meet with constituents!
