Welcome Back to School!

Dear Digital Public School Parents—

Welcome back to school! This is an exciting and busy time for students and parents as we kick off the new school year! My name is Mark Martinez, and I’m the new President of the Washington Digital Public Schools Alliance (DPSA). I’m a parent and learning coach with my wife Aubrey to our sons Matthew and Aidan. Both boys, now in high school, have been enrolled in a full-time digital public school since 4th grade. It’s been a good fit for them and our family. In addition to being a parent and learning coach, I’m an accountant, former Marine, and I have served in various leadership roles in the Boy Scouts.

As a digital school advocacy coalition, our mission is to educate and inform state policymakers about this important education option. As we start the new school year, I hope you will:

This fall and during the 2022 legislative session, we will work to ensure state policymakers support digital public schools in our state. I believe that kids can accomplish anything, even things they thought they couldn’t do, with a little help and guidance. I look forward to working with you to advocate for our kids so they can accomplish great things.
