Digital Public Schools Alliance Statement on Social Injustice

The last few weeks have brought to light the long-term problem of institutional racism in our country, sparked by the unjust death of George Floyd. It's sad to continue to see that not all people are treated with respect and dignity and that many continue to be marginalized because of the color of their skin.  Authentic discussions about racism and bias start with each of us taking the time to examine our own words, thoughts and actions and then really listening to and honoring people of color's experience.  As our children's first teachers, it takes having tough conversations about racism and leading by example. The Digital Public Schools Alliance stands with all families and recognizes the unique difficulties experienced by community members who are people of color.
